After centuries and centuries, millennia of deep sleep, the oldest entrances of the world itself are awakening, following the profound transformation of the world and the birth of sects and covenants of new adepts of the cult of the ancient gods, led by powerful shamans of the cult of the of the sleepers.

Whispers in the wind, words moved by the waves of water, gurgling voices in the rapids of the rivers...

Awakening Gods is the new album produced by Blot Heathen, which is set as the continuum, and the term of that saga began with the first album Paleolithic Call, re-proposing the previous musical styles with a greater search in ancient and shamanic sounds.

BLOT

Blòt is the spirit of the "Blòt Heathen" project, born four years ago in a feverish winter-spring by the minds of Orlando Li Mandri and Leonardo Sorrentino.

From this album the Blòt Heathen project was born, and we are proud to present it posthumously to his production, after years of gestation and waiting!

"Blòt" is the essence of the concept album, a journey, song by song, in the rituals of the Germanic-Scandinavian peoples from the Iron Age up to 1000-1100 AD.

In "The Call", we introduce the meeting of two Gothi, who are heading towards the village to call the people to the great ritual.

So begins your journey, you will first enter the sacred forest, "Forest Hov", and then move on to the frenetic and powerful moment of sacrifice, central part of the Blòt.

Thus the "Blood" will be poured out, and the "Bless" will be sung in honor of Freya.

And it is precisely here, in the moment of maximum splendor of the ritual, that the Gods will walk with you by your side, and you will have the "Vision".

MIGRATIONS

Human migration is a movement of people from one place to another, with the intention of establishing itself temporarily or permanently in the new position. The motion is typically carried out over long distances, and often involves a good part of the population or even the whole. 

Migration in antiquity was something very different from now, but also very similar at the same time. 

Migration means abandoning a place, a culture, a space that is yours, and having to face other territories, a different fauna, a different culture, a different way of speaking and behaving. 

"MIGRATIONS" will allow you to put yourself next to one of the many peoples who, because of his will or because he was forced, has left his native lands to go far. 

We are really proud to present our new album, a research that digs in eras and eras of man's history, because we know, since he came to the world one thing he did: migrate

PALEOLITHIC CALL

A distant call from the prehistoric era, a dive into the sounds of the Stone Age, to then travel in the Bronze Age and Iron Age. 

Tribal dances, shamanic rituals, sounds of war: this is Paleolithic Call 

Blòt Heathen is pleased to present his first album released on physical format, an album that offers a sound that mixes neofolk shamanism and dark ritual, creating an archaic and mysterious soundscape.

THUNDERSTORM

Six little works, ispered by the Norse culture, made using homemade instruments, throat-singing, and taking small parts "Voluspa," one of the most famous and ancient Nordic epics.

The first part is composed by
three songs dedicated to Thor and the Creation Of The World, in a dark ambient, where you will hear the rain and thunder background, a symbol of God's power.
The second part consists of mantras dedicated to Odin, the father of all gods.

SHELTER

Blòt present his first official digital release, which will be available now on Bandcamp.

The EP, consisting of three tracks, it's fully of dark sounds. From Shelter to The Long Winter the ambience it's really creepy, but with the coming of the spring, with the Forest Awakening the ambience become more bright.

A trip to the northern winter, in the staunch survival, exploring the power of the rune Uruz.
